“ I’ve never been this aware of politics in my whole life. But it’s so important to know, history, and so important to know, you know, what actually happened before making your own choices and, you know, knowing or being fully aware of what’s being said on both sides, and like, who to believe and, like, it’s all, it’s really hard. Like, it’s really hard. Because it’s not my history, has nothing to do with me. But it’s now my problem, because I’m trying to raise two children here. ”
This is a photo of me 7mo pregnant holding my son in a Northern Ireland football kit. It's significant to me because at that moment, I was falsely under the impression that putting him in that football kit on his first birthday would mean making a statement. It represented a divided country that I don't actually agree with now … It's a contradiction, a reminder that even though many say "there's no difference what religion you are or which political stance you take" that's very much not the case. It's also a photo of me surrounded by all of my great friends and family who came to celebrate Colin. It was in my home. My home that I loved and the last one before leaving for Northern Ireland.
