About Connor Kerr

I came from a country area on the Ards peninsula and my family are a from a traditional unionist background. I grew up in my teenage years in Carrickfergus. I grew up there as a gay boy called Connor. I now work on a charity called Another World Belfast/ Show Some Love

Colonialism ... It makes me think of stolen land of stolen resources of white supremacy of hate, of violence, of separation and of inequality. Because I’ve seen it here, it’s the experience that we have, like, it’s how we’ve grown up. I think over the last sort of few years, there’s more people kind of getting to grips with what really went on ... But it makes me feel sad. It makes me feel hopeless.
